Last time Celebrate Brooklyn! attempted this Dracula screening with the Phillip Glass Ensemble the sky opened up and bursts of thunder, lightening and heavy rainfall shut it down. While that might seem appropriate for a screening featuring a blood sucking vampire with such a heavy, live soundtrack, we’re hoping for clearer skies this time around. See cult favorite Bela Lugosi in all his horror-movie, goth glory spooking the streets of England, while Phillip Glass’ soundtrack is pumped up by a live ensemble. Catch all the action this Saturday at the Prospect Park Bandshell. It’s free (suggested $3 donation), but get there early because who knows what’ll happen when the sun goes down.
