After receiving many inquiries about the rustic door chandelier hanging above their register in Gowanus, Build It Green NYC, a popular spot for picking up salvaged and surplus building materials, decided to offer everyone a chance to build their own. The original was designed by Urban Chandy, and this Saturday Cassidy Brush, one of the company’s founders and chandelier designers, is leading a workshop where you can learn to build a replica of the industrial-chic light fixture for yourself. There are still a few spots left, so sign up here if you’re up for some DIY home decorating . The class costs $75 dollars, which is way cheaper than finding something similar at West Elm.
