While normally you might sit on the beach at Coney Island, drenched in sunscreen wondering how anyone dares to swim in that dirty brown water, this Saturday you may not even venture near it, with so many other attractions to visit. First up we’ve got The Amazing Brooklyn Scavenger Hunt, kicking off at the Brooklyn Aquarium. Ever wonder what else there is to Coney Island aside from the subway, Cyclone, and boardwalk? This scavenger hunt will take you all over the area for a series of both mental and physical challenges. If that’s not your cup of iced tea then maybe the fourth annual Coney Island Talent Show is? Join in the competition (there are different categories for different age groups) for a chance to win a cash prize and day passes to Coney Island amusements. There’ll also be a mystery prize for best dressed in each category, so gussy up!
