It’s swing dancing meets square dancing, but it’s also a lot like jumping around with friends at Brooklyn Contra‘s dance parties. Show up at Camp Friendship early, 7:30pm, for a quick dance lesson or learn as you go. The dances are simple, and you don’t need to bring a partner–why not meet someone new? It can be a lot like a blind date without all the weirdness, expectations and obligations. It’s only $15, and good news: No need for a babysitter because kids under 12 get in for free! Contraforce will be the band and Janine Smith will be calling the dances.
