If you’ve enjoyed the variety of free events at Brooklyn Bridge Park this summer, from early morning yoga to Books Beneath the Bridge, perhaps you’re looking for a fun way to support the programming that keeps you entertained and out of the apartment. This Wednesday, Aug. 7, the park’s young professionals group, the Conservancy Currents, is hosting a poolside shindig at the pop-up pool to benefit the slew of free public programming at the park. Admission is $25 in advance (buy tickets here) or $30 at the door, which gets you two drinks—choose from Lizzmonade’s fruit-infused sangria or shandies—and poolside snacks, including barbecue pulled pork sliders and chicken and mushroom quesadillas. Sharpen your competitive edge with a match or two of corn hole or bocce in the sandy “beach” near the pool.
