The next soon-to-open venture is Greenpoint Fish and Lobster Co., “a fully sustainable, traceable, high quality retail seafood market and carryout cafe” according to their Twitter profile, but you can learn what they have in store in person on Sunday, August 18 aboard The Jewel. The $60 ticket for this East River cruise gets you an unbelievable three hours of eating and drinking: jumbo lobster rolls, Ahi and watermelon ceviche, East and West coast oysters, an open bar of beer and wine, plus live music, an oyster shucking class, and a demo on how to properly break down a lobster–skills you can put to use when their market opens.
