Friends, Romans, Countrymen, Lend Me Your Beers

If the last pub crawl you attended left a little something to be desired culture-wise (no, drunkenly screaming along as the bar jukebox plays Don’t Stop Believin’ doesn’t count), Saturday’s ShakesBEER event in Park Slope may be just what you’re looking for. Check in at 2:30pm at Mission Dolores for a drink and the first of four performances of scenes written by the Bard and produced by Shakespeare Exchange, a nonprofit theatrical program dedicated to providing modern audiences with fresh points of entry to Shakespeare’s work. More scenes will be staged at nearby Loki Lounge, Beauty Bar and The Backyard. Tickets are $40 and include a drink and a dose of erudite drama at each stop along the crawl.
