This summer four Crown Heights bars made it into our roundup of favorite outdoor bars, and we’re headed to all of them on Saturday, September 7 for our Total Crown Heights Immersion with Brooklyn Brewery.
Starting at noon on September 7, you can pick up one of our 500 FREE Immersion cards at either Franklin Park or Nostrand Avenue Pub. Once you have the card in hand you can score complimentary cups of Brooklyn brews at those two bars plus Crown Inn and Catfish, and complimentary glasses of Local 1 at Barboncino over brunch.
There are more deals to be had at the local shops along Franklin Avenue: Owl and Thistle General Store is offering 20% off any purchase over $20; at Wedge Cheesemonger, any purchase nets you a free Big Picture Farm goat milk caramel; Calabar Imports is offering a 10% discount storewide; a coffee at Little Zelda will come with a free Madeline, and Rosebud Vintage is taking 20% off its summer dresses. We’ll be announcing more deals at neighborhood vintage shops, boutiques and restaurants, so stay tuned.
During your Crown Heights crawl, stop into the soon-to-open Hullabaloo Books. In anticipation of its grand opening on September 13, Hullabaloo has invited local artists to showcase their works of photography, art and sound for a group show titled “Crown Heights is Culture.” We’ll have some Summer Ale there, too, to celebrate the opening.
We’ll also be giving away prizes to the adventurous few who take on challenges that we’ll be tweeting during the Immersion. Owl and Thistle General Store, 1000 Dean Street and Hullabaloo Books are all supporting sponsors who are making extra fun possible in Crown Heights and our October 5 Gowanus Immersion.
So round up your friends and follow @BrooklynBased and @BrooklynBrewery on Twitter and RSVP on Facebook for updates. See you September 7 in Crown Heights!
