If you’ve ever wanted to wear overalls in a non-ironic way, your chance is coming up on Sept. 14–take a trip to the Hudson Valley and spend the day touring Kinderhook Farm. You might not be familiar with the farm by name, but chances are you’ve tasted their grass-fed meat either dining at Reynards in the Wythe Hotel or off the butcher’s blocks at The Meat Hook, Marlow & Daughters or The Greene Grape. Saturday’s tour will teach you about the inner working of a livestock farm with plenty of time to wander around Kinderhook’s hundreds of acres of pastoral farmland like a free-range chicken. At day’s end there will be cooking lessons in the farm’s kitchen followed a twilight dinner. Space is limited so get your tickets now.
