While it’s hard to argue that vinyl ever truly went out of vogue, records are definitely having a renaissance–making the case for their comeback is The Brooklyn Flea Record Fair happening this Saturday, Oct. 5. It will be their biggest to date with 55 vendors setting up shop at Smorgasburg this Saturday. Rifle through the record collections of local vets like Domino Records, DFA, True Panther, Captured Tracks, Minimal Wave and Warp, as well as albums from collectors as far flung as Portland, Ore. Whether you already have an enviable collection of vinyl and are just looking for those few elusive, out-of-print albums to make it complete, or you’re a novice who doesn’t know the difference between a 12″ and an LP (they’re actually one in the same in case anyone asks), you’re sure to walk away with something. DJs will be spinning on the 1s and 2s all afternoon, and a full lineup of participating vendors can be found here.
