Get Immersed in Gowanus

Screen Shot 2013-10-02 at 9.51.40 AMThis is the fourth year of our Immersions, a roving series of neighborhood-wide celebrations we organize with Brooklyn Brewery, and the first year we extended our day drinking sessions into the fall. Gowanus is our last stop on this year’s “tour” and we’ve got a killer Saturday planned for you. As always, the first 500 people to get our FREE Immersion cards will get complimentary Brooklyn brews at four bars/restaurants; Saturday’s lineup includes Halyards, Lavender Lake, Littleneck and Canal Bar. You’ll also get complimentary Ama Bruna or Oktoberfest over lunch at Runner and Stone, and great deals at local spots like 25% off at Film Biz Recycling and any two tacos for $6 at Oaxaca. Then at 6pm, our after party at Littlefield, made possible by 718 Cyclery and Realty Collective, gets underway. It starts with a free comedy show with Marina Franklin, Zach Broussard, Brooke Van Poppelen, and host Matt Koff, followed by a set by electropop-rock outfit Syvia, and $3 bottles of Oktoberfest throughout. To get in on all this awesomeness, you can pick up one Immersion per person starting at noon this Saturday at either Halyards, Lavender Lake, or Canal Bar. Find a map of all the stops here, though let us make one recommendation—if you plan to join us at Littlefield, where doors open at 5:30, it’s best to start at Halyards or Lavender Lake. RSVP on Facebook for more updates, like how to get a free ride to the Immersion from Uber, and see you Saturday in Gowanus!
