The weather actually feels like fall suddenly, which makes Brooklyn Kitchen’s field trip to Stone Ridge Orchard upstate a perfectly timed outing. The centuries-old orchard is in the Catskill Mountains, making it an idyllic place to spend a Saturday this time of year. Your $60 ticket will get you transportation to and from Williamsburg, as well as cider, coffee, a morning treat, a snack for the two hour bus ride, farm access, a hay ride, a quarter peck of apples (approximately 2.5 lbs.) and a stellar apple pie recipe to try when you get back home. Tickets for kids under 12 are only $40, and groups of four save $10 off their adult ticket price.
