Blue Marble Makes Its Documentary Debut

By

PosterSweetDreamsWe’ve already got plenty of reasons to scream for Blue Marble’s ice cream, but news that co-founders Jennie Dundas and Alexis Miesen were being featured in a new film gave us an entirely different reason to celebrate. In 2010, the Brooklyn small business owners traveled to Rwanda to help women in the civil-war-torn country, still struggling with the effects of genocide and mass killings in 1994, start their own ice cream shop. Filmmakers Rob and Lisa Fruchtman captured their attempt at transformative entrepreneurialism in the documentary, Sweet Dreams, which opens at The Quad Cinema in Greenwich Village on Nov. 1. The Fruchtmans, Dundas and Miesen will all be on hand Friday night for a Q&A, so get your tickets now. The show starts at 7pm.

I attend the documentary on Thursday 11/6/2013. Very impressed and would like to know how to purchase a dvd for a showing at my church in the Bronx. Thanks
