Once upon a time, Bushwick was the epicenter of brewing in not only New York City, but the entire Northeast and for the first time in nearly 40 years, the neighborhood’s pretty close to (re)achieving that dream. On November 1 at Passenger Bar, the guys behind Bushwick’s Braven Brewing will debut their fall beer, Dia (after Día de los Muertos), a chocolate orange stout with a kick of habanero pepper. And if that isn’t quite enough, there will be face painting and plenty of dancing. All this is part of their campaign to Kickstart a brewery in Bushwick and they’re more than halfway there. The fiesta kicks off at 10 p.m.
