Hitting the 7 train and heading to Sunnyside, Queens is one of our favorite out-of-borough trips–the super diverse and very close neighborhood offers diners everything from Irish pub fare to Indian-Chinese food, kebabs, tacos and spicy Korean dishes, perfect for the cooler weather. And, during Sunnyside Restaurant Week, awesome deals on all this delicious dining. From November 4 to 8, participating restaurants are offering three-course dinners for $25 and two-course lunches for $10. Now’s your chance to sample Transylvanian specialties at Bucharest Restaurant, sip complimentary margaritas with your lomo saltado at Arriba Arriba and discover lots of other cuisines from Sunnyside’s diverse offerings. No Longer Empty, the organization behind community-based art exhibitions like the one inside the abandoned clock tower in Long Island City, will curate site-specific art installations in four of the restaurants. Check out the list of participating restaurants and you could plan out a week’s worth of culinary adventures on the cheap.
