Every month we co-curate a night of storytelling, hilarity and beer at Brooklyn Brewery. We call it Funny Story with Tom Shillue, our co-curator and very funny host–you may have seen him singing in a barbershop quartet on Jimmy Fallon or opening for Jim Gaffigan, but we love him best when he’s at the helm of Funny Story. Usually the fun goes down on the third Thursday of the month, but for November we’ve rearranged the schedule a bit to be part of NYC Comedy Week, so the show is on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 8:30pm (doors at 8pm) and tickets are a two-for-one special–$10 gets you and a buddy seats at what promises to be a great show (no beers with these tix though, so you’ll have shell out for your IPA or pumpkin brew). As for storytellers, we have Amanda Duarte, actor, writer and host of Dead Darlings, a show where writers and other artists present cut, rejected, or otherwise dying-on-the-desktop material; Abe Goldfarb, actor and burlesque host; and stand-ups Ryan Hamilton and Gary Gulman. Get your two-for-one tickets now and have the friend you bring buy the first round of beers.
