Just Food’s  Great CSA Smackdown is not for lightweights. It’s like Master Chef meets Wrestlemania, but, luckily, no one is sporting wrestling tights. Local CSAs go head-to-head in this cooking competition to see who is the Hulk Hogan of fresh local grub on Monday, Nov. 11, at Brooklyn Winery. This year’s lineup of contestants includes Crown Heights Farmshare, Washington Square CSA, 6th Street CSA and last year’s champions, Grand Street CSA. Each competitor has 30 minutes to wow the judges, Jimmy Carbone (Jimmy’s No. 43, Food Karma) and Tamar Adler (author of Everlasting Meal: Cooking with Economy and Grace). The winner moves on to a citywide final round, representing their team in this battle royal of sorts. The event is free, but you must RSVP, and food and booze will be available for purchase.
