Ever heard the phrase “spicier than honey?” No? But it might after the Mike’s Hot Honey tasting at that Eastern District this weekend. Turn up the heat–this chili-infused honey is not meant to soothe your throat in a cup of hot tea (although who knows, maybe it’s a cure-all for coughs). Pour it over ice cream or roasted nuts, use it in a cocktail, or simply grab yourself a free taste at 4pm on Saturday where the spicy sweetener is being paired with cheese.
