In an effort to bridge the gap between neighbors new and old in the ever changing Bushwick corner of Brooklyn, The Living Gallery and Jazzabelss Boutique started hosting “Bridging Bushwick: Potluck & Performances,” earlier this month, inviting everyone to come out and talk about whatever is on their minds. The idea is to erase preconceived notions people may have about one another, eliminate stereotypes and simply have a good time–who knows, maybe you’ll even make some new friends. Admission is free, but everyone is encouraged to bring in a dish that represents them and their culture. After the success of their first event, they decided a second one was in order right away on Dec. 30. To propose a topic of discussion, email your ideas here.
