The idea of Metal Fantasy Camp probably conjures up all kinds of ideas, especially when you hear that you’ll be turning a steel tube into a 6″ x 6″ x 6″ cube. That’s right, 666, but not like heavy metal, Iron Maiden, number of the beast sort of 666. You’re not going to show up a nice, young innocent Brooklyn dweller and leave with half a shaved head, chain wallet and armful of tattoos (unless you show up that way, which is totally cool, too). This is a class where you’ll spend four hours learning how to make anything out of metal by taking a 20′ length of 1″ x 1″ x 1/8″ steel tube cutting, fitting, clamping, grinding and welding it into this metal cube. On Jan. 2, Total Metal Resource is offering everyone a chance to become a metal master for $215.
