End your weekend at one of Williamsburg’s best free concerts. Every Sunday Chris Douridas, music curator for KCRW, selects new talent for a showcase at Brooklyn Bowl (almost like an indie American Bandstand) called School Night! This week’s lineup features the DJ stylings of Jason Eldredge, of Billboard Magazine’s Top 30 Under Thirty in the Music Industry fame, plus a slew of special guests. Live performances from local collective The Cabana Kids, Hudson Valley psych-folk rockers Sons of an Illustrious Father and self proclaimed “trip-slop” artist Fascinator, who toys with synths, slowed down beats and plenty of showmanship. Harlem’s DJ Austin Mills will be guesting on the decks alongside Eldredge, spinning his signature sound of dance and hip-hop. Did we mention all of this is free with a simple RSVP? The list closes at 3pm on the day of the show, at which point you’ll have to shell out the very reasonable price of $7.
