Feb. 11: (Dumbo) Rachel Kushner’s recent novel, The Flamethrowers, was just nominated for a National Book Award. She’ll be at powerHouse Arena this evening in discussion with James Wood of The New Yorker and signing copies of the book, the story of a young woman who moves to NYC in the ’70s with designs on being an artists and finds herself ensnared by the city’s Warholian art world.
