A Night Out With NY1

By

Anyone who knows me is aware of my love for NY1, which has been proclaimed again and again and again on this site. Over the years, the little local network that could has been my No. 1 source for essential morning news delivered with personality, and at this point, it singlehandedly fuels an otherwise underwhelming (and very expensive) relationship with Time Warner Cable. Needless to say, I’ve had my ticket to Wednesday’s Pat Kiernan Red Carpet Trivia Night at The Bell House for weeks, and was surprised to see that some are still available given the popularity of the events he’s hosted there in the past. Take advantage of the collective lethargy brought on by successive snowpocaypses, and grab a ticket now for what’s always a fun night of high-stakes, pop-culture trivia competition. This time, there’s a special treat in store, because when it’s finished, you’ll have time to hustle over to see Perp Walk take the stage at 10pm in the Way Station’s Lou Reed Birthday Tribute. Actually, seven awesome bands will be playing, but only one of them has wacky NY1 reporter-at-large Roger Clark on the drums. –KH
