Who needs boring, pretentious old Fashion Week when we’ve got Spoke the Hub’s Recycled Fashion Show and High Tea? The semiannual fundraiser treats guests to a scripted, choreographed catwalk show featuring used clothing donated by the community and modeled by Spoke the Hub’s dancers, teachers, students and neighbors. All of the “couture” goes on sale at rock-bottom prices right after the show, and tickets are $25 ($15 for students and seniors) if you buy them in advance, and that includes tea and cookies and the satisfaction of supporting a great cause: Spoke the Hub’s Local Produce programs in nearby community gardens.
