Did you know that the Roof at Whole Foods hosts events like a weekly Wednesday trivia night? Me neither, which is why I was delighted to discover that starting this Thursday, the health food mega-facility will be serving monthly beer dinners in partnership with selected breweries. This month, Queens-based Singlecut Beersmiths is up, and they will be pairing a variety of their brews with a six-course, seasonally appropriate menu. For $50 a person, you can dig into dishes like spring onion and pretzel crostini with Hawthorne Valley cheddar, pine roasted lamb with barley salad, and chocolate milk stout pot de crème, all served with a carefully chosen, complementary beers. To even further sweeten the deal, Whole Foods will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Prospect Park Alliance, a cause we can all get behind. Space is limited so you’ll need to reserve a spot by emailing Stephanie.Long@wholefoods.com.
