A Full House at Franklin Park

By

Some of Brooklyn’s most beloved ongoing series are pulling out rather impressive programming this week. Like Late Night Basement, another local event that’s not resting on its laurels is Franklin Park’s monthly reading series. This Monday night, legendary cultural critic and fiction author Lynne Tillman will be joined by novelists Tova Mirvis and Brendan Kiely, Los Angeles Times Book Award finalist Jeff Jackson, and the award-winning short fiction writer Wah-Ming Chang who will all be reading from their new works. That’s a lot of literary firepower for one evening, and when you couple it with the fact that admission is free and pints are only $4–not to mention plans for a book raffle–you have the makings of a pretty perfect night.
