Painting by Kennis Baptiste of 35 Claver Place
The 2014 SONYA Art Walk is coming soon, and it’s a great opportunity to check out the dynamic mix of artists at the Bed-Stuy art studio 35 Claver Place. Established in 1985, 35 Claver Place offers artists an affordable place to live and work. Every year, for the Art Walk, they open their studios to exhibit recent works by their artists. This year, the first floor will feature the work of Kennis Baptiste, who will be exhibiting a series of figurative mixed media and abstract paintings, along with a collection of his charcoal and pencil drawings.
