Bacchus might be the Roman god of wine, but we’re confident he’d be cool with having a French bistro named after him, especially if said bistro served a stellar, three-course prix fixe dinner five nights a week and carried enough wine by the glass or bottle (200 at last count) to encourage an evening of revelry. We’re talking about Bacchus Bistrot a Vins in Boerum Hill. Monday through Friday the French restaurant offers a $28 prix fixe (menu here) and Bacchus’ executive chef Jean-Marc Hardy makes a blackened angus hanger steak like nobody’s business–one of the entrees you can choose from as part of this deal, which is offered weekdays from 5-10pm. Be sure to ask your server for a wine pairing suggestion and raise a glass to Bacchus while you’re at it.
