A few weeks ago, pop music legend Neil Diamond played a “secret show” in Brooklyn, which turned out to be at his alma mater, Erasmus Hall High School, in advance of his upcoming album Melody Road. Anyone who missed him the first time around in Brooklyn will have another opportunity to see their native son as Diamond will be playing the Barclays Center on March 26, 2015 as part of his world tour. Tickets for the show went on sale this morning. He’ll certainly play tracks off the new album as well as old favorites, but I’ve got a hunch he’ll also play “Brooklyn Roads” to mark the occasion of his homecoming. For a legend who is larger than life, the Barclays is a fitting venue for him to say, “Hello Brooklyn.”
Neil Diamond will perform on March 26, 2015 at the Barclays Center, 620 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn, 8pm, $65-$700.
