There are so many excellent musicians making their way to Brooklyn this fall that you’re going to have to plan out your personal concert calendar with care. It’s a heady mix of critically-acclaimed indie bands (Yo La Tengo, Luna), relative newcomers (Ultimate Painting, Stranger Cat, Young Ejecta, Torres), singer-songwriters (Glen Hansard, Neko Case), and of course classic rockers (Jethro Tull, Jackson Browne). On the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ historic concert at Shea Stadium, Ringo Starr is making a return to the Big Apple with his All-Starr Band at Kings Theatre. And a reunited Sleater-Kinney is guaranteed to raise the roof during their appearances at Kings Theatre and the Music Hall of Williamsburg later in the season. Here’s a partial list of what’s in store for Brooklyn music fans this fall–you’ll see why you won’t be disappointed with these offerings.
