It is my opinion that the only way to get through the kind of weather we’ve been experiencing of late is frequent ice cream consumption, and The Royal Palms has got you covered in that regard on Sunday, when it is hosting the Brooklyn Ice Cream Takedown starting at noon. You can sample all kinds of cold, creamy desserts whipped up by local home cooks (we’re betting there will be some pretty far out flavors available) and vote on the winner, all for the cost of a $20 ticket. Oh, and if you’ve never had the pleasure, I can personally guarantee that ice cream is a perfectly acceptable stand-in for a more traditional lunch.
