First stop, Bike Jumble, second stop, Pig Island

By

Park Slope’s biannual cycling-centric flea market, the Brooklyn Bike Jumble, is back at the Old Stone House on Saturday, so if you’re looking for a new whip or a good deal on a helmet, parts, or other bike gear you should definitely swing by between 10am-4pm. In fact, it’s an easy stop en route to the 8th annual Pig Island pork extravaganza happening in Erie Basin Park in Red Hook from 11:30am-4pm. Tickets aren’t exactly cheap at $75 a pop, but they are all-inclusive and will allow you to sample dishes prepared with locally-sourced hogs by more than 25 top chefs, as well as artisan spirits, craft beer and cider galore. There will be vegetarian options available too, and live music stations providing ambiance throughout the day.
