On Sunday morning, bask in the back-to-school vibes and head over to McCarren Park starting at 10am for a good old-fashioned Field Day sponsored by the Open Space Alliance for North Brooklyn. You can register individually or as a team to compete in various athletic events like kickball, an obstacle course, tennis, running, and more. Participation is free, and you will also received a goodie bag and complimentary refreshments. Later on, you can put your money where your sympathy lies–with the victims of Hurricane Harvey–at a special concert fundraiser at House of Yes from 2-8pm. The lineup for Fvck Harvey includes Brooklyn-based acts like Brasstracks, Jenaux, Birocratic, and more and all proceeds from your $20 ticket will be donated to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.
