A night with Jennifer Egan

By

There are some books that you read that really stick with you, years after you read them, and in my case two of those have been written by Jennifer Egan: Look at Me and the Pulitzer Prize winning A Visit From the Goon Squad. On Thursday night, the Brooklyn-based writer is presenting her latest title: A historical novel called Manhattan Beach about a woman who works in the Navy Yard during World War II. It’s only fitting then that the event, which is free with registration, is happening at BLDG 92 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a former Marine Commandant’s residence that is now an exhibition space. There will be a book signing at a wine reception too, and it all starts at 6:30pm.
