A Bavarian bender in Brooklyn

By

Sooooo, your plans to steal off to Munich to do Oktoberfest the way it’s supposed to be done never materialized this year, huh? No worries, some enterprising Brooklynites are bringing an authentic Bavarian Oktoberfest festival tent experience to our very own borough this week, as part of the three-day-long First Annual Brooklyn Oktoberfest at Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse. The event kicks off on Friday night with a 7-11pm session that will be include the traditional long German tables and blue and white decor, plus musical acts, traditional dancing, pretzels, sauerkraut, various wursts, hundreds of fellow revelers, and–of course–liter upon liter of beer. Tickets to one of the five sessions spread out throughout the weekend start at $45 a pop. Zum wohl, everyone!
