Around this time of year, I sorely miss the Manhattan Inn and piano karaoke with Joe McGinty. Sitting the intimate back room around a white baby grand, Old Fashioned in hand, and listening as your fellow revelers crooned to songs accompanied by the bandleader of the Loser’s Lounge was a classic holiday experience. You can come close to recreating it at Sid Gold’s in Chelsea on Tuesday night, with one of McGinty’s bandmates, Wendy Ip, on the ivories.
