Donate your dictionaries

By

For over two decades, the volunteers at NYC Books Through Bars have been sending donated books to incarcerated people all over the country based on their requests, and on Wednesday night Silent Barn is helping out by throwing a Dictionary Drive. Admission is $5, which goes to the cause, and you are encouraged to bring paperback reference books like dictionaries, thesauruses, and atlases, as well as stamps and shipping supplies. The evening will also include live DJ sets and readings by Maxwell Maxwell, Kenton Deangelo, and others. Can’t make it on Wednesday but still want to help BTB continue its work? No problem– you can purchase selected titles online at Greenlight’s site and the bookstore will ensure that they get to the right place.
