There’s nothing quite like the right piece of music for the right kind of evening. On Monday, you can head to the Upper West Side to join pianist Margaret Kampmeier, violinist Anna Rabinova, and cellist Rupei Yeh for their free concert at the Church of Saint Paul The Apostle, starting at 7pm.
If chamber music isn’t quite what your senses will be craving at the start of your week, you can catch one of the last performances of Winter JazzFest. On Monday night there will be an epic gathering of musicians to celebrate the life and legacy of composter Geri Allen. Ezra Spalding, Ravi Coltrane, and Angela Davis will all be part of the show at the Tishman Auditorium, along with a handful of other artists. Doors open 7pm, and tickets are available here.
