Talking women’s rights at the Brooklyn Historical Society

By

This year marks the 45th anniversary of the landmark decision that gave women the legal right to seek an abortion. The battle is far from over, though, as access to abortions across the country continues to diminish. Brooklyn Historical Society is honoring the milestone and reflecting on the challenges ahead with a talk on Tuesday, Jan. 16., called “45 Years after Roe v. Wade.” Your $10 admission will get you front and center with Ilyse Hogue, President of NARAL Pro-Choice America, Rebecca Traister of New York magazine, and Katha Pollitt, author of Pro: Reclaiming Abortion Rights.
