Women’s March redux

By

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since millions of protesters descended upon the Mall in DC and in other cities across the country and around the world to register their support for human rights and vehement objection to Donald J. Trump. Then again, when you think of all of the absolutely bananas insanity that we’ve been collectively subjected to in the time since the historic Women’s March, it feels like centuries have passed. On Saturday, the Women’s March is back in NYC— the rally starts at 11am at 72nd Street and CPW.

If you’re planning to attend, get your sign ready now and perhaps make a plan to refuel afterwards at the Tenth Annual Cassoulet Cookoff sponsored by Jimmy’s No. 43 and taking place at the Brooklyn Kitchen from noon-3pm. Amateur and professional chefs will compete to win awards and prizes and the honor of being recognized as the best version of the classic French meat and bean dish. With a $45 ticket, you get to sample over ten different cassoulets, as well as a selection of cider, beer, wine, and spirits.
