One thing I hate is when I see a truly great comedy show happening in Brooklyn that I’d love to let you guys know about, and then I discover that it’s already sold out. One thing I love, however, is when the venue adds another last-minute show in order to accommodate the demand, and that’s exactly what happened with the upcoming Demetri Martin appearance at The Bell House on Thursday. If you don’t already know Martin’s quirky, totally original comedy from his multiple standup specials, his own Comedy Central show, his appearances in New Girl and House of Lies, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (sigh), or his books and essays published in The New Yorker and elsewhere, you’ll become much more familiar with him once his debut feature film, Dean, is released this June. For now though, you can see him perform live and in person at 10pm, and tickets are $35 each.
