Live Jazz in a Bed-Stuy Brownstone

By

Mix it up this Friday night by ditching the usual dinner/bar plans in favor of a live jazz fest and fish fry in a landmarked Victorian brownstone in Bed-Stuy, a neighborhood with a storied jazz tradition. The musicians who perform at BrownstoneJAZZ change on a weekly basis, but have in the past included Broadway greats and Blue Note recording artists. Showtime is at 9pm, and the intimate concert is followed by a late evening fish fry buffet. A ticket will run you $65, which is a pretty good deal for a top-shelf jazz performance in a unique, intimate setting. If you arrive in the neighborhood early enough, hit up Mama Fox for happy hour from 4-7 and one of their small bites.
