Oscar movies and dumplings

By

As Kate mentioned in her column this week, this is an ideal time to catch up on Oscar-nominated flicks before the Academy Awards show on Sunday. But if you don’t have time to cram them in over the weekend, then do it the day after the Oscars. On Monday, March 5, The Alamo is screening a number of the films that will no doubt take home awards back-to-back. The 6:30 showing of The Shape of Water seems about the most feasible to see after work, and is definitely the one to watch since it has garnered the most nominations. Instead of eating in the theater, save your appetite for the soup dumplings at Yaso Tangbao, which just reopened after weeks of renovation.
