Spend Sunday immersing yourself in comfort food at Brooklyn Bazaar’s annual Meatball Takedown from 2-4pm. For the price of a $25 ticket, you get to try unlimited meatballs prepared by some of Brooklyn’s best home cooks, who will be competing for your vote to be crowned meatball king or queen. Then, head on over to South Slope landmark The Grand Prospect Hall for a Vodka & Pickles Festival because, well, it’s about damn time those two items had a festival devoted to them. Tickets to either the noon or 3pm session start at $50, but that includes unlimited vodka mixed drinks, all the pickles you can eat (along with other snacks), live music performances, an art exhibit and sale, and raffles for great prizes.
