Author and Bored to Death creator Jonathan Ames just released his latest title, You Were Never Really Here, a crime thriller novella that is being made into a movie starring Joaquin Phoenix, and the Bushwick Book Club is giving it the unique treatment the book club is known for on Thursday night, March 29, at Mirror In The Woods. The Bushwick Book Club is a monthly gathering of songwriters, visual artists, dancers, filmmakers, and chefs who create work in response to a pre-selected book and then perform that work for a live audience. This month is extra special, as Ames himself will be on hand to give a reading. Tickets are $15 and the show starts at 7:30pm.
