Celebrate Earth Day with Kingsland Wildflowers

By

If we cross our fingers, do we think we can all collectively dream up Earth Day weather that won’t feel like the dead of winter at the end of April? Here’s hoping. Anyway, an alternative way to celebrate Mother Earth (apart from whining about the weather) is heading to Kingsland Wildflowers for an afternoon of hands-on learning about healthy soils and ways to improve our environment in totally natural, totally accessible ways! The Bioremediation event will start off with a lecture and conclude with an outdoor planting session in Greenpoint. It’s hard to dream up a more perfect way to celebrate Earth Day than getting some good ol’ natural dirt under your fingernails. The event is free and goes from 12 – 4pm. Then hit up the Greenpointers Spring Market afterward.
