A Coney Island reggae revival

By

In case your reggae appreciation came to a halt after Bob Marley, Chronixx is now Jamaica’s rising star and the most popular face of the reggae revival movement, a blend of dancehall and Jamaican roots music that in his hands is particularly feel-good and mellow. He’s sharing the stage of the Ford Amphitheater in Coney Island on Sunday with similar artists as well as dancehall legend Sister Nancy, whose song “Bam Bam” is a staple on summer playlists everywhere. The show is at 8pm but make a day of it and head there early, using our guide to summer fun in Coney Island for inspiration. Tickets start at $33.
