Brooklyn Bridge photo walk

By

We are now smack in the middle of peak “take a stroll home over the Brooklyn Bridge after work” weather, and if you’re interested in photography you can kill two birds with one stone on Monday night, June 4, at a guided photo walk/urban hike over the bridge starting on the Manhattan side. Starting at 6:30pm, photographer Melissa Goodwin, who runs an outdoor adventure company geared towards women called Girls Gotta Hike, will be leading the walk and encouraging participants to focus on capturing images that highlight the juxtaposition of industrial structure and nature. Basic instruction on things like camera settings and composition will be provided, and the walk is free if you register here. Meet at the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall subway stop and end at Superfine for a celebratory beer, and it sounds like you’ll have a pretty great start to your workweek.
