Thursday night concerts at Lincoln Center and Dumbo

By

If you’re in Manhattan Thursday night after work, head to Lincoln Center to experience a sultry night of African New Wave, featuring Yemi Alade, DJ Maphorisa, and DJ Tumez as part of Lincoln Center Out of Doors. The performance is free and starts at 7:30.

Or stay local and head to Live at the Archway in DUMBO, for the Haitian-Colombian rhythms of StringsNSkins (pictured), a Brooklyn band comprised of drummer Okai alongside violinist, singer, and dancer Luisa Bastidas. The weekly, Thursday night party is also free and includes live artmaking by painter and muralist Pasqualina Azzarello. The music begins at 6pm.
