Nothing says summer like the beach, boardwalk, and an outdoor concert, and this week you can see OG surf rockers The Beach Boys live at Coney Island’s Ford Amphitheater, followed by the customary Friday night fireworks show, which sounds like a can’t miss event to me. There are still plenty of tickets available, so make a night of it. Or, for a more local start to the weekend, head to The Bell House for A Drinking Game NYC, which pairs a live performance of a classic 80s or 90s flick by actors with an old-school drinking game, ensuring a hilarious, drunken evening. On the slate this month is one of my personal all-time favorite movies: Dirty Dancing, so I don’t see how you could go wrong with this plan. The show starts at 7pm and tickets are $15.
